Brian Weiss Joins Paquin Healthcare Companies as Director of Online Services
Orlando, FL – June 16, 2008 – Paquin Healthcare Companies, Inc. today announced the hiring of Brian Weiss as the firm’s Director of Online Services, effective immediately. Weiss brings with him more than a decade of experience developing, maintaining and optimizing technology and web assets for top national and international companies.
Prior to joining Paquin, Weiss held the position of Solution Design Manager for Central Florida Investments (CFI, Inc.). In this role, he directed a large IT staff supporting numerous web-based applications and ecommerce sites for Westgate Resorts, the largest privately-held timeshare company in the world with more than 400,000 members and 10,000 employees.

Presently, less than 50 hospitals nationwide have a sophisticated ecommerce presence on the web. Paquin currently has agreements with 25 large healthcare systems and expects to deploy more than 1,000 hospital web storefronts.
The healthcare-related products and services industry is estimated to exceed $500 billion per year and is expected to reach $1 trillion within five years. Hospitals are turning to this growing market to create new sources of non-reimbursed revenue.
